Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Technical Program Manager (TPM) Job Description

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. OCI is committed to providing the best in cloud products that meet the needs of our customers, who are tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges.
OCI Object Storage needs a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our fast-growing team. The TPM will manage complex, cross-organizational programs that impact both product and business for OCI. In addition, this specific role requires a passion for solving high-impact problems and the ability to jump into any in-flight project and get it on the rails.
Additionally, TPMs track technical issues, effectively communicate project status, and suggest changes to use company resources more efficiently. TPMs identify technological impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements. They define strategies, regularly participate in executive meetings to present progress, and share project information with stakeholders.
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
Drive execution of critical cross-org programs within Object Storage
Work across various service teams to determine feasibility and timeline
Responsible for efficiency of Cloud related tools and processes
Provide technical leadership of cross-functional teams
Organize cross-org activities, ensuring completion of projects on schedule within budget.
Qualifications
4+ years leading complex technical / engineering programs. Ability to quickly understand technical issues in depth is a must have.
4+ years relevant work experience in Technical Program Management
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
Past work experience or certification about cloud services, Storage, or SaaS products
Ability to work independently and communicate across multiple time zones
Proficient in use of issue tracking tools and platform-specific app stores
Preferred Qualifications

Ability to think broadly and strategically
Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment
Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org
Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling
