Job Description

As a member of the External Content Services engineering team, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

4+ years of software engineering or related experience is recommended.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 4+ years related work experience in software development

• Proficient in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (or other cloud technologies), Java, SQL (MSSQL, TSQLt and PL/SQL)

• Intermediate level of knowledge of Containers, Jenkins pipelines, Ruby on Rails, React, and Javascript

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of:

• Oracle databases

• ETL experience

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, code, debug, test and modify new software or enhancements while considering software abilities

Create strategic technical designs for small scope projects within team

Provide high-level architecture guidance and develop specifications to resolve software problems

Help transition existing cloud based processes to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Consult with stakeholders on current functionality and complexity of adding features

Estimate effort for current and future projects of small to medium scope

Debug complicated issues that span multiple modules, involve complex concurrency or low-level problems

Propose and lead process improvements projects for development, deployment or application monitoring

Share knowledge within team through mentorship, coaching, technical talks and blogs

Ability to easily transition between different programming languages and technologies from project to project.

Hiring Range: from $62,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
