As a Scheduling Coordinator you will be responsible for greeting patients and their families, scheduling appointments, implementing scheduling systems, and demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Responsibilities include:

• Use of multi-line phone to make, answer, and direct phone calls
• Schedule appointments for each departing patient, schedule recall appointments
• Coordinate appointments to maximize the daily production goal
• Monitor the schedule throughout the day to insure that it runs smoothly
• Create and manage the office schedule for one year in advance for current month at all times.
• Effectively communicate with staff when changes are made to the schedule
• Enter special meetings, activities into shared calendar for staff/doctor
• Respond to new patient request for initial consultation
• Provide office support to doctor and staff
• Manage office email
• Make care calls
• Place supply order
• Correctly save and file documents, notes and xrays

Requirements/Competencies

• Some college is desirable
• Highest-level of customer service is required so a positive disposition is paramount
• Ability to work closely with other team members in a fast-paced environment
• Previous office experience with reception and/or executive assisting is helpful
• General knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients, parents, doctors, and staff, in person and on the telephone.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
