Position Summary
The Technical Systems Analyst, Student Systems is responsible for understanding, in detail, the capabilities and configurations of our student success and administrative support systems. They ensure that those systems are configured to maximize their efficiency and effectiveness, so they contribute fully to continuously improving the success of our students and the effectiveness of our administrative processes.
The Technical Systems Analyst works in tandem with university departments, business analysts, and technical teams, fulfilling the role of the expert in the capabilities of our systems, to configure and plan the integrations across our systems, all to maximize their effectiveness.
A critical responsibility is understanding how data moves between our systems and the implications for good data mapping, data management, and process workflow.
The Technical Systems Analyst must understand the details of how our systems operate, the design of solutions, the configuration of these systems to achieve required objectives, and provide training and support for the users of these systems.
The Technical Systems Analyst will work across a range of systems/services that support the life cycle and successful outcomes for our students. These systems include CRM , advising, student assessment, helpdesk, student information systems, and chatbots. They will be supported by technical systems administrators and programmers. They will oversee the implementation and ongoing support of new CRM , Helpdesk, and Chatbot tools.
Position Duties
Integrate and configure the University’s student success tools, ensuring a high level of data accuracy, role-based security, and smooth user experiences in using the systems.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in CRM , Chatbots, student success, help desk, and other related tools. Develop a deep understanding of how the various tools interact and what features and functionality can be harnessed to improve processes.
Understand data flows between systems and improve integration processes where necessary.
Programming using PL/ SQL for data integration.
Configure and implement solutions using existing tools ( CRM , Chatbot, Help Desk, Banner, etc.).
Provide training and support to users of student success tools.
Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field required.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Critical thinking ability.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience in data modeling and visualization techniques/tools.
Proven ability to deliver excellent end-user experience capabilities.
Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical business users.
Experienced developing and configuring student and administration systems.
Experienced in configuring workflow capabilities, student success systems, data integration between systems, and help desk systems.
Experience working with Ellucian products and in higher education would be an advantage in achieving success in this role.
Proficiency in coding in PL/ SQL for data extraction, imports.
The ability to travel to all Pace campuses to attend meetings and meet with constituents may be requested.
Work Hours
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Additional hours outside these times may occasionally be required. May be required to travel to all Pace campuses.
Salary Range $65k – $75k
