PatientIQ Looking for Frontend Developer at Chicago, IL Full Time

PatientIQ is hiring an Associate Frontend Developer who specializes in React JS. Join our team as a core member of our engineering department. In this role you will be critical in revamping our existing software experience and help build our future software from the ground up. You will be influential in architecting and building the end-to-end experience for our patients and clinical users.

As a hands on developer you will deliver high quality software to help advance medicine, medical research and improve patient outcomes. Role Responsibilities

• Design, build and test a new React application
• Own and evolve our UI component library, standards and best practices to streamline development and ensure consistency across products
• Work with product managers and designers to realize new interfaces & product features
• Help design critical features
• Help support our production environment and ensure product uptime
• Partner with back-end developers with the design of APIs and web services

Requirements

Ideal Qualifications

• Professional experience contributing to an enterprise applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular / Vue / React) & state management tools (Redux / MobX)
• First hand professional experience with React
• Experience integrating with RESTful API’s
• Experience using GraphQL (Apollo / Relay) and schema design
• Strong experience in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and HTML5 & CSS (methodologies & preprocessors)
• Strong technical design and architecture skills
• Experience maintaining a production environment / codebase
• Knowledge or interest in automated testing
• Experience building single-page applications

Nice to Haves

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• You appreciate and advocate for web standards and accessibility (e.g. WCAG Standards, screen reader support, semantic HTML)
• Experience with Ruby on Rails & PostgreSQL
• Experience with React Native or development of mobile apps
• UX design experience using Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Axure, or equivalent
• Experience using Webpack
• Understanding of web security (OAuth / Authorization / CSP is a plus)
