You will be responsible for writing excellent code that powers experiences customers will directly use. We work in a variety of languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript and frameworks such as React and GraphQL. And, as an engineer on this team, your work will involve more than just writing code – we want your input on how we write code – the processes and tools we use and the philosophies and approaches we take.

Your Day to Day:

• Own implementation of a module/application/product
• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software solutions to the web ensuring high performance, security, and scalability
• Participate in architectural discussions that involve multiple systems
• Identify any product or functionality gaps and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery
• Drive operation excellence
• Proactive response in identifying and troubleshooting integration or technical issues
• Retrospect on the status quo
• Help and learn from the team

What you need to bring to the role:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
• Experience building software or web applications with object oriented or functional programming languages
• Strong knowledge in React fundamentals, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js and Next.js
• Good knowledge of testing methodologies and deployment techniques
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL
• Understanding of Java, Spring, REST API and Messaging Architectures like ActiveMQ/Kafka (experience in development is a plus)
• Experience applying software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong debugging and problem resolution skills
• Experience collaborating to define the key requirements and translating them into process and technical solutions
• Experience developing automated unit, integration, and/or functional tests
• Awareness of performance concepts, and the tradeoffs of applying them, such as progressive web loading, lazy loading, and caching
• You know what the OWASP Top Ten are but not necessarily from memory

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $72,700 to $176,000
