Peachtree Academy is a premier private school that is seeking an outgoing receptionist to work with the public and support the administrative team, so admin skills are needed. Must be able to answer inquiries and provide information to potential customers. The daily responsibilities will include the use of technology and communicating with various groups and working with teachers and students. A warm welcome each morning for the staff and students is important since this position would require a positive image as you would be the first impression for our school.

Duties

• Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, provide information, take messages, or schedule appointments.
• Receive payment and record receipts for services.
• Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents.
• Greet persons entering the establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
• File and maintain records.
• Transmit information or documents to customers, using a computer, mail, or fax machine.
• Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
• Keep a current record of staff members’ whereabouts and availability.
• Process and prepare memos, correspondence, or other documents.
• Schedule space or equipment for special programs and prepare lists of participants.
• Enroll individuals to participate in programs and notify them of their acceptance.
• Perform duties, such as taking care of plants or straightening magazines to maintain lobby or reception area.
