Our client Manitoba Pork is looking for an Office Manager and Executive Assistant to join their team here in Winnipeg, MB.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Office Manager and Executive Assistant, will work with considerable autonomy while performing managerial and administrative duties involving a high degree of initiative and responsibility.
As the Office Manager and Executive Assistant, you will:
Support and manage various day to day administrative office needs.
Serve as secretarial support to all members of the Board of Directors.
Conduct and prepare reporting and documentation for consideration and presentation by leadership and boards of directors.
Manage and coordinate various major events planning initiatives.
Assist in the monitoring and assurance of regulatory compliance, and administration of Hog Levy and producer database.
Serve as the primary point of contract between hog producers in Manitoba and the Manitoba Pork Council.
Maintain highly professional conduct and high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, is essential.
The successful candidate will have at least five years of prior experience in office administration and supporting boards of directors.
Prior experience in major event planning and coordination is a requirement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work independently.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Skilled to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Quick learner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining resourceful and flexible.
Proven planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
Ability to conduct research and create reports or presentations.
Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and strong knowledge of office procedures and practices.
