Peregrine Team Hiring for Entry-level Safety Watch at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

Peregrine Team is hiring for a Safety Watch. This position is full-time (part-time hours available as well), day OR night shift, with full benefits and $18-20/hr. Little to no experience is required.

Job Summary – Safety Watch oversees work areas where hazardous work is being carried out to prevent fires and other accidents from occurring, which includes patrolling areas to ensure that all work conditions meet the organization’s requirements. Ultimately, you will work directly with engineering, security and construction workers to ensure each work area is safe and free from fire or other hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

– Patrol floor to floor of a healthcare facility and ensure all is in order

– Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit

– Operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts anytime

– Stay on job site while the work is being performed

– Inspecting all work areas for flammable vapors or liquids

– Monitoring the workspace and keep flammable materials away from ignition sources

– Alerting the appropriate personnel in the event of a fire

– Notifying emergency services in the event of a fire and become familiar with emergency alarm systems

– Having fire-extinguishing equipment readily available and being well-trained in its use

– Following the conditions and requirements specified on the safety permit

– Perform fire watch duties as assigned by providing surveillance to staging areas

– Observe and report potential fire situations and become familiar with emergency response procedures including evacuation

Requirements:

– Little to no experience required.

– Must pass background check and drug test

– Fully vaccinated (COVID19)

– Full-time and part-time hours available

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
