About the Role

Reporting to the EGM New Zealand, the Director of Delivery plays a key leadership role, overseeing the financial performance and operational success of their territory. This includes driving both gross revenue ($) and gross margin (%GM) in alignment with group budget targets.

The role ensures the seamless delivery of services to new and existing customers, meeting contractual commitments and maintaining high Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) levels. Additionally, the Director oversees all Planit personnel engaged on customer accounts, both billable and non-billable, ensuring strong employee engagement (eNPS) and managing attrition and retention targets effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Delivery Leadership

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery and servicing of all customer contracts within the territory, ensuring high-quality execution.
• Accurately report revenue and gross margin (GM) performance to the EGM and Executive, providing clear forecasting for new and existing business.
• Drive business development efforts, maintaining a strong pipeline and ensuring revenue targets are met.
• Ensure profitability by overseeing rate negotiations with customers, balancing competitive pricing with business sustainability.
• Manage utilisation rates effectively to optimise profitability while maintaining strong employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Foster and strengthen client relationships, ensuring service delivery aligns with agreements, while identifying opportunities for retention and growth.
• Provide strategic and tactical leadership as a key member of the NZ senior leadership team, contributing to overall business success.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch office, collaborating with P&C and Finance to maintain a productive and engaging workplace.

Essentials Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of business management experience, ideally within enterprise technology or professional services, with a strong focus on business growth, revenue generation, and financial performance.
• Proven ability to drive business development, manage complex contracts, and deliver enterprise services aligned with core contract terms.
• 3+ years in senior leadership (SLT/ELT), including direct reporting to executive leadership and CEOs.
• Strong capability in strategic planning, business problem-solving, and presenting complex business insights to senior stakeholders.
• Results-oriented, with a deep understanding of core financial metrics, profitability management, and customer impact analysis.
• Skilled in making high-quality, data-driven decisions that align financial goals with customer needs and long-term business strategy.
• Extensive leadership experience in talent development, performance management, and implementing leadership frameworks.
• Commitment to fostering a values-driven, diverse, and inclusive organisational culture.
• Experience in designing and rolling out performance-based remuneration structures in sales and account management functions.
• Expertise in building complex responses to tenders and statements of work, ensuring alignment with enterprise client requirements.
• Strong project management skills, delivering complex programs up to $2M in budget, while ensuring quality and operational efficiency.
• Well-connected within the industry, staying ahead of market trends and evolving business needs in Testing and Quality Engineering.
• Confident public speaker, capable of representing the business at trade and industry events, strengthening Planit’s market presence.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to objectively assess complex business challenges and develop innovative, financially sound solutions.
• Comfortable navigating fluid and ambiguous environments, maintaining composure under pressure while driving high-impact results.
