As a cornerstone of the newly established Education Workforce Programme Delivery team, this role is pivotal in guiding and supporting programs that define the future of Education Workforce. This role will facilitate seamless collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership, ensuring alignment and coherence in every initiative.
Beyond oversight, this role will be the catalyst of progress, steering projects towards success through programme monitoring, performance reporting, risk assessment, and resource allocation. There will be Programme and Project Management oversight, and this will set the standards that underpin our group’s work program, establishing a consistent and efficient approach across all projects.
Collaboration and strategic alignment will be critical as this role works alongside the Practice Lead, ensuring that projects not only meet but enhance strategic goals. The ability to construct effective communication loops between teams will be integral to gathering vital project reporting for governance.
This is a pivotal role that will not only shape projects but also contribute to the larger narrative of this Ministry’s impact.
Salary range: $117,611 – $176,417 per annum + 3% kiwi saver. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

This team was created in October 2021 as part of changes to Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga (Ministry of Education), driven by the Government’s response to the Tomorrow’s Schools review. There have been many changes, advances and challenges since then, and now there is an opportunity to join the newly established Service Design and Implementation team to influence, shape and embed the next phase of this meaningful journey.
