The Data Entry Specialist is primarily responsible for keeping product SKU records and account profile records up to date in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and eCommerce database.

Job responsibilities include:

• Preparing and uploading new vendor products, including descriptions, technical specifications, and digital assets (photos and videos). This process consists of:

• Manipulating product data in Microsoft Excel.
• Creating HTML documents for website product descriptions and technical specifications.
• Producing and editing product images and digital marketing assets using Photoshop.

• Updating existing vendor products with the latest product information and digital assets (photos and videos).
• Maintaining product price records through frequent price updates by manufacturers.
• Updating account profiles and associated contact/shipping information.
• Setting up new customer eCommerce accounts, maintaining existing customer account databank, and providing assistance with login credentials.
• Troubleshooting internal and external website issues, such as internal networking matters or external user experience problems.
• Testing and validating databases for quality measures and resolving inaccurate or noncompliant information.
• Executing scheduled database backups.

Experience in the following programs/coding languages include:

• Microsoft Excel (required; basic level)
• Adobe Photoshop (required; basic level)
• HTML coding language (preferred; basic level)

Members of the database maintenance team require excellent communication skills and technical prowess, especially with regards to handling and manipulating data in programs such as Microsoft Excel. The position entails communicating with manufacturers to obtain and verify product and pricing information and then updating our ERP and eCommerce databases with the latest details, digital assets, and pricing to facilitate purchasing and sales. The position also involves interacting with customers to update their customer profile, create eCommerce accounts, and troubleshoot user experience issues.

Candidates should have strong organizational and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail, in addition to the technical ability to work with and import data following a series of trained procedures. Candidates should also be proactive in seeking opportunities to improve process efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
