Administrator – Cashmere Home –

We are looking for an experienced Administrator that enjoys working in an environment where they get to know the teams around them and the people they are here to support in our Homes. This role is central to the smooth running of the our Home for Elders and works closely with the Home Manager and management team to support them in the essential day to day administration of the Home.

Who are we looking for?

Working closely with the receptionist, the Administrator is a varied and integral role in the operations of Cashmere Home, in Johnsonville.

A key component of this role is business and financial oversight. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Bank reconciliations
• Individual resident accounts
• Liaison with payroll on staff queries
• Payroll preparation
• Comfort fund transactions

You can also expect to be involved in providing strong, resident-focused service and assisting our residents with various queries and orientations. You will also liaise with resident’s friends, whanau, and other home staff. You will enjoy being part of a community of people who enjoy living and working together and you will be keen to be actively involved in day day to aspects of life in our Home. This role is Monday to Friday (9.00-15.00), perfect if you are wanting to work around school hours or childcare arrangements or just want some time for your own activities and a good dose of work/life balance!

About You

As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills and sense of humour. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect and bring this to the way in which you operate.

As well as a high level of attention to detail, you will also have excellent time management and communication skills, both written and oral.

You will also:

• Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in an administration role
• Experience in a customer service role
• Have some experience in financial systems and invoicing
• Have strong prioritisation skills
• Covid vaccine passport – plus evidence of booster, where eligible
