As a Document Specialist IV in our Retirement area, you’ll develop and draft document solutions that meet internal and external client needs. Serve as a resource in identifying, interpreting, and communicating complex legislative, regulatory, and compliance issues that affect retirement documents. Provide analysis and guidance of retirement document interpretation issues and retirement document design questions.
Another example of things you’ll do:
- Develop and produce accurate and timely complex retirement documents in accordance with applicable laws and regulations to meet client and business partner expectations and in-line with administrative processes and procedures. Review and analyze outside- written retirement documents for clients as needed. Identify, analyze, and resolve document issues of a sensitive nature.
- Communicate with consultants, tax/legal advisors, or regulators, as needed. Develop and maintain relationships with internal business partners and provide technical educational assistance to the sales force and business unit employees.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in pension theory, retirement document design, and governmental regulations while working with internal and external pension clients on document drafting and design. This may involve working through corrective options, responding to regulator inquiries and developing/working through complex document provisions and design.
- Lead and/or participate on special projects critical to the growth of the business unit and the company. Perform other job-related duties or special projects, as required.
- Mentor and train new hires within RIS Document Services.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4+ years of related business experience, including at least five years working with retirement documents
- Minimum of 2 years of plan drafting experience.
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of the pension operation, including those of affiliated companies
- Experience with defined benefit calculation process strongly preferred

- Expert and broad technical, statutory, and regulatory knowledge is essential
- High level of creativity and advanced analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written
