Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Manager located in Motueka. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overseeing, optimizing and improvement of the operational efficiency of our production sites at Waiwhero and Little Sydney. this pivotal role involves fostering collaboration between sites, aligning, safety, production strategies with financial and sales objectives, and ensuring seemless coordination between production and our departments to drive growth in line with Prolam’s mission and company goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations or production management, preferably in the timber industry.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes, safety procedures, and quality control measures.
• Experience in project management and Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and targets.
• Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Excel, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
