ProLogistix Hiring for Packaging – Multi Shift – Hiring Immediately at Oakland, CA Full Time

ProLogistix are currently hiring for Safety and Compliance Manager for a leading transportation company located at the Port of Oakland, specializing in warehousing and logistics. This is a temp to hire position, but can also be a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have similar experience with this role.

The schedule is Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm

The job duties entail:

• Implement and enforce company safety policies through personal interaction with drivers and staff.
• Teach, coach and mentor the company’s safety program.
• Train employees and managers on safety program topics.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate safety program implementation & compliance.
• Write & review safety documentation for all meetings and create weekly reports.
• Proactively identify hazards to prevent harm to employees, equipment and the environment.
• Attend at daily safety meetings, providing Safety Training and awareness.
• Investigate & document any incidents or accidents.
• Use all resources (local, state, fed) to evaluate risk management effectiveness.
• OSHA and CalOSHA knowledge and experience.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external personnel.
• Ability to work, prioritize and meet goals in a dynamic environment.

• Proven experience and knowledge of the warehouse and transportation industry.
• Experience with Trinium TMS system preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in the English language. Must be able to perform basic math skills accurately.
• OSHA and CalOSHA knowledge and experience
