The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will give our community its first-ever wellnessdestination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education, exerciseresources and state-of-the-art care like they never have before. We offer over 200,000 squarefeet and has 58 acute cate beds in our new state-of-the-art regional hospital. Our campus alsofeatures an organic farm with access to nutrition, education and therapies. We will serve as acommunity hub that touches residents of all ages and promotes a higher quality of life. This is anew model of collaboration between ProMedica and the community. We are excited to set a newstandard for health and wellness in Lenawee County. Position SummaryPerforms a variety of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food, cleans kitchenarea and cooking utensils. Operates cash register, receives payments, makes change andbalances cash drawer. Prepares, loads, transports, and cleans food carts. Delivers and collectspatient food trays and ascertains customer satisfaction. Collects, processes, and disposes oftrash, cans, bottles, and transports to disposal area. Assists with care and maintenance ofdepartment equipment and supplies. Maintains department records, reports, and files asrequired. High school graduate or have GED. Must have or obtain Lenawee County Health Department Food Handlers Card. Prefer 6 months experience in commercial food service. Must be able to set up and serves patient trays in accordance with established schedule and procedures. Must be able to carry dishes and foods between kitchen and serving lines. Must be able to wash and cut vegetables and fruits according to procedures. Must be able to maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, qualityassurance programs and safety standards.
