Delivery Manager – Education Consulting
The Opportunity
PCG’s Education Consulting service line seeks a Delivery Manager who will lead various efforts to take completed content and successfully deliver products to our clients. This process includes defining product style, editing content in alignment with established styles, quality assurance, and final delivery (in print and/or digital formats). This role leads the Copyediting Manager, Permissions Manager, QA Specialist, and Resource Scheduler. The Delivery Manager coordinates our operations functions across all projects. This role is able to identify challenges and proactively works to find solutions and then effectively lead the team to implement those solutions. The Delivery Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper loading of content to client platforms.
This is a remote role, with occasional in-person meetings. Some travel may be required.
About PCG’s Education Consulting Service Line
PCG’s Education Consulting Service Line works with states, districts, and schools to address a wide spectrum of needs such as curriculum development, instructional resources audits, design and facilitation of professional development and professional learning communities, school improvement, and program reviews.
Project engagements have included the development of the EngageNY grades 6–12 English Language Arts curriculum for the New York State Education Department and the delivery of related implementation services across several states; the design and delivery of a system of a K–3 professional learning program for the Connecticut State Department of Education; and the creation of training and resources to support standards implementation for the Florida Department of Education. We recently collaborated with Chicago Public Schools (IL) to develop a full-year, standards-aligned digital curriculum for PK–12 English Language Arts and mathematics and are providing asynchronous and synchronous professional learning to teachers and administrators to support implementation. Currently, we are also developing a K–5 ELA curriculum in partnership with Pinellas County Schools (FL) to support their transition to the new Florida B.E.S.T standards.
Responsibilities
The Delivery Manager:
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of a team of support resources (temps, contractors, internal staff) that leverage technology to implement client solutions
Supervises the Copyediting Manager, Permissions Manager, QA Specialist, and Resource Scheduler
Leads overall effort to take content, format it, and package it for delivery to our clients
Identifies appropriate software and tools needed to best address project needs
Maintains strong understanding of the technology systems being used in a project
Creatively problem solves to identify and correct technical issues and then lead team members to implement resolution
Works with Operation Advisors to develop processes, procedures, and documentation for technology solutions
Communicates with other leads and project management to stay up to date on project priorities and changing information
Fulfills other project related duties as assigned; and
Maintains positive working relationship with all staff and customers
Qualifications
Required Skills and Orientations
Excellent communication, interpersonal and client-facing skills
Comfortable managing and prioritizing across multiple projects
Process oriented, results-driven strategy, through a positive solutions orientation
Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and proactively communicate project status
Detail and process improvement oriented
Solid technical, practical, and demonstrable skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google workspace tools
Knowledge of K-12 instructional delivery systems (e.g., Safari Montage, CK-12, Schoology, etc.) a plus
Required/Desired Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience with delivery/implementation services
Experience leading a delivery/implementation team
Knowledge/experience with educational learning management solutions a plus
Experience with digital learning instructional design (Preferred)
