Pullman joins its sister property later in the year, just next door, Novotel Auckland Airport. The Novotel is a 263-hotel room with a buzzing restaurant, Bistro Thirteen 50.

An amazing opportunity to work as our Night Porter throughout Pullman Auckland Airport’s pre-opening and during its operations. You’ll provide an inviting environment, guaranteeing that all guests arriving at night are greeted as soon as they walk through the doors, and assist guests with their luggage’s. You are a people person. You enjoy interacting with others, entertaining guests, and have the freedom and creativity to deliver memorable moments that provide treasured guest experiences.

Job Description

As our Night Porter, your smile will be the first one our guests notice when they enter our doors during the nighttime! You will be responsible for making sure guests feel welcomed to Pullman Auckland Airport by ensuring everything is up to standard and is exciting. Along with delivering our guests an inviting space to spend time in, you will be assisting guests with all of their luggage as they check in and out, creating an excellent guest experience that will encourage them to stay with us in the near future.

• Be present at the Concierge/Reception desk or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested.
• Ensure the lobby/foyer area, including entry/exit doors, remain clean and presentable at all times. Conduct regular checks.
• Park and retrieve guest’s cars with care (where applicable)
• Escort guests to their room, placing luggage in room.
• Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage, mail, messages and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

You will be:

• Previously employed in Front Office or have prior experience in a Porter/Concierge role, it is preferred but not essential.
• Assisting guests with valet parking – Full Driver’s License is a must.
• An individual who is dedicated to ensuring that every guest has a satisfactory and unforgettable experience.
• Guaranteeing every guest has a warm welcome upon arrival and at check-out, and that all of their needs are fulfilled.
• Possessing an approachable demeanor, the capacity to take charge, and the ability to multitask.
• Lifting and carrying guest luggage throughout your shift. We don’t expect you to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but being physically capable to lift and carry large or heavy items is essential.
• Managing the guest traffic and guaranteeing that our guests are all protected, our fire exits are clear while maintaining a positive and tranquil standpoint.
• Able to work during graveyard shifts.
