Job Summary

Graphic Design Specialist

The Graphic Design Specialist is a student employment position responsible for supporting the Krannert Marketing and Communications team with design projects in a number of areas, including but not limited to creating email graphics, social graphics, print and digital designs, helping maintain Photoshelter, etc. Reporting to the Graphic Designer, the student will effectively communicate on behalf of the school in a manner that is consistent with our brand identity. Serving as an ambassador for the school, they will be responsible for the creation of a portion of our design materials. Candidates should have a passion to tell the stories of our students, alumni, faculty and staff through graphic design.

A successful candidate will:

• Be an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing currently enrolled at Purdue’s West Lafayette campus
• Be able to work approximately 15 hours per week in addition to their academic workload
• Be capable of multi-tasking and managing projects effectively with limited direct supervision
• Pay attention to detail and have creative skills that contribute to unique graphics creation
• Possess strong design skills from concept development to project completion.
• Proficiency using the following Adobe Creative Software: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator.
• Build templates in Adobe Express and Photoshelter
• Provide a design portfolio via website or printed samples

NOTE: This position can be done remotely, though Krannert Marketing & Communications does have some shared office space for those who wish to work in-person. We will follow Protect Purdue guidelines.
