Position Description
What You’ll “Mostly” Do:
- Design and implement quality standards for suppliers and internal manufacturing
- Design and implement inspection processes for incoming supplier parts and manufacturing
- Manage the nonconformance process and ensure compliance with suppliers and throughout the manufacturing process
- Work with the production floor to investigate quality issues and ensure root cause of issue has been identified and addressed
- Monitoring the quality performance of our suppliers and manufacturing operations
- Evaluate new designs for manufacturability, ease of inspection, and likelihood of quality defects to provide feedback to design engineering
- Provide leadership and guidance to our quality inspectors and manufacturing technicians for maintaining quality performance
Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Systems Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering and/or quality control management for manufacturing
- Familiar with various inspection techniques, quality standards/systems, and design for manufacturability
- 1+ years of experience with Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills in English
Our preferred qualifications:
- Experience in high rate, high quality manufacturing such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, etc.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action
- Experience with PPAP and similar supplier quality programs
- Experience implementing quality management systems and standing up new manufacturing facilities
- ASQ or other similar quality certification a plus
