PureRED Hiring for Data & Ad Proofreader – REMOTE at Stone Mountain, GA Full Time

You walk into your favorite grocery or pharmacy chain store and pick up the printed weekly ad. As you are reviewing the ad, you see that an item you’ve been eyeing is on sale! You pick up the item and head to the register only to find out that what was printed in the weekly ad was wrong. How frustrated does that make you?? Do you want to be on the back-end of that ad, ensuring that all promotions are correct and that no customer ever has to be as frustrated as you were?

PureRED is hiring a Proofreader on the weekly circular production team for a national grocery store player with multiple locations nationwide. In this role, you’ll review the client’s promotional data and compare it to the ads that the Production Artists have put together. You’ll work within your team to correct any errors before the final proofs are sent to the client for approval and then off to the printers. If you have been in a role where you’ve had to input and/or review a lot of alphanumeric data for errors, this may be the right role for you!

As a Proofreader, your primary responsibilities would include:

• Consuming and processing information between our internal agency teams – this may be customer data, sales/promotional data, product images, etc. This data may come through in an email, Excel spreadsheet, API feed, etc.
• Review and manipulate this data into format that can be used to produce deliverable
• Proofread deliverables created by our internal production teams to ensure they are error-free, consistent, and accurate before submitting to client for review:
• Review for grammatical/numerical and imagery/art design errors
• Ensure that all client brand guidelines have been followed
• Repeat process until clients’ expectations have been met

• Work collaboratively within a team to accomplish daily tasks and meet assigned deliverables
• Keep abreast of daily (or late) changes, rules, guidelines that would affect work product and deliverables

Roughly 70% of this position is proofing. The other 30% is managing and manipulating data from the client in preparation for our internal creative team to receive.

This role, albeit an entry level one, is a critical part of the total workflow, ensuring that we are meeting our commitments to our clients and satisfying their needs.

***Proofreaders are on a planned promotional track to become Client Services Specialists once training is successfully completed.***

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED (required)
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills (required)
• Willingness to work either 1st or 2nd shift full-time as job shift is unknown until Proofreaders are assigned to a team unit (required)
• Proven ability to accurately edit/proofread documents and images
• Passion for and desire to grow within the marketing industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Motivation to learn complex programs and processes
