We are growing our Crew Performance Manager team and have a permanent, part-time opportunity available in Auckland, New Zealand. In this key leadership role you will lead a remote team of 100-130 including Inflight Standards and Development Managers (ISDMs) and Cabin Crew (all grades), and be responsible for managing the end-to-end employment relationship with a focus on making a real impact to our Safety and Service goals. As Crew Performance Manager you will review and drive your team’s performance and conduct and manage related matters in line with corporate/department policies and procedures and relevant legislation, and proactively manage attendance with a focus on supporting our people and ensuring their wellbeing.
We’re looking for an individual who thrives in a high volume, high impact position and able to lead, motivate and support a team to build a strong service culture and meet Cabin Crew strategic objectives. Someone who is resilient and has the ability to provide direction, manage multiple stakeholders and drive employee engagement and performance.
Reporting to the Manager, Cabin Crew NZ your key responsibilities will include:
- Proactively leading and motivating your team to achieve departmental business objectives and performance metrics
- Understanding the key drivers of Cabin Crew performance, in order to identify and analyse trends in Crew performance, with a focus on attendance, on-time performance, customer satisfaction and engagement
- Tracking your team’s compliance with the consistent delivery of our in-flight service experience
- Actively championing service recognition programs
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to contribute to overall JANZ business objectives
- Supporting team members to enable career progression and performance improvement
- Ensuring an understanding of and compliance with relevant legislation and Aviation Security, Health and Safety and Jetstar policies.
- Delivering timely communication of critical business information, customer feedback and upward feedback from crew.
- Maintaining a good level of crew engagement at base
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience managing a large team, with a warm, empathetic and approachable operating style
- Demonstrated ability to provide direction, motivation and support to a large, remote and dynamic front line team, to drive engagement and build a strong service culture
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with an innovative approach to performance management and development
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships and adapt your style to your audience
- A strategic, commercial mindset and organisational skills to effectively manage multiple issues, timeframes and stakeholders
- Sound judgement, proactive thinking and fit-for-purpose solutions to meet an ever-changing customer and employee landscape
- Ability to work flexibly to meet operational requirements.
