Roles & Responsibilities:
The role of the Delivery Assurance Field Representative (DAFR) is to represent the OEM on-site at suppliers to ensure delivery of the parts by expediting supplier orders for OEM need dates.
This role is very personable and will require the ability to maintain positive relationships at a variety of levels including engineers, buyers at both supplier and OEM.
You will be the eyes and ears of the OEM making detailed observations on part and process flow, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring gap analysis and risk mitigation closure.
In this role you will monitor MRP tools, production schedules, WIP (work in process), and non-conformances to provide status on commit dates and provide input for any necessary revisions.
You will be required to effectively communicate progress and status verbally, via email and through various electronic reports.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Partner with planning to develop shortage and line of balance reports and expedite plans for delinquent suppliers
Track deliverables and adhere to strict schedule/milestones
Validate supplier lead times and expedite supplier orders
Through analytics determine, root cause issues and develop applicable corrective action plans
Meet with engineering, quality, and procurement to evaluate process and receive feedback on work performance
Report project status during regular meetings with the customer. Typical reports would include updates on part shipments, issues or constraints at supplier effecting delivery and/or quality.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Supply Chain processes
Excellent communication skills between multiple departments (internally and with external suppliers)
Experience with materials planning and project engineering valued
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system valued
Ability to resolve conflicting situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization to drive changes, resolve issues, and understand risk to compliance and the business.
Identify supplier risk, sensing risk, making sure supplier parts are producible and supplier has capacity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with effective documentation management skills
AS or BS in business or technical field, Associate / Bachelors -Manufacturing Science preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business is required.
Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience in aerospace related procurement and planning.
Basic understanding of various departments within the supply chain, in particular, Customer Service, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations/Planning/Logistics, Manufacturing, Quality and Purchasing.
Schedule and time management.
Communications management.
Individual should be proficient in effectively working with ERP/MRP systems, to include hands on understanding of demand and supply.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Office and Shop Floor environment
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Must be able to maintain long hours on your feet in a shop floor environment

Location : Hybrid role, Orlando, Florida
Travel: Must be willing to travel throughout Florida (car and plane travel); up to 50-60%; possible out of state travel may be required, as needed. Travel durations would be mostly short-term trip, 3-4 days
Hours: Position is Part-Time to start, potential for Full-Time hours
