We are recruiting for a Trainee Production Operator to join the Manufacturing Department based at our ARC site. The role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week with flexible working options.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To perform procedures and duties in compliance with agreed specifications for the manufacture of high-quality diagnostic reagents according to GMP. Perform and progress, under the direction of the area team leader, a range of skilled/complex tasks within manufacturing departments, utilising acquired knowledge, experience and/or qualifications.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct all duties in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and appropriate regulatory requirements.
• Support and Manufacturing of products to agreed schedules.
• Maintain accurate and legible records to ensure relevant laboratory documentation is kept in a satisfactory condition.
• Maintain equipment, in accordance with agreed procedures, ensuring equipment is operating correctly.
• Undertake and participate in continuous training and assessment in accordance with personal development plan.
• Maintain and control of stock.

Production Services Department

Support the Manufacturing of products to agreed schedules by performing the following activities:

• Routine cleaning of the Manufacturing area.
• Daily laundry and Laundry Receipt.
• Preparation of task for manufacturing departments.
• Cleaning, preparation and autoclaving of general equipment and consumables.
• Clean store requisitions for manufacturing departments.

Buffer and Reagent Department

Ensure product is manufactured to meet specification to meet agreed schedules:

• Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to TROPOS/SOP.
• Preparation of Buffer and Reagent products to agreed specification.
• Prepare and deliver intermediate buffer solutions for the Manufacturing departments.
• Filtration and filling of buffers within a clean room environment.
• Fill, Label and Packing of Reagent products.
• Perform accurate mathematical calculations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Excellent levels of literacy, numeracy, communication, and IT skills.
• Experience of working in a fast paced, team-working environment essential
• Experience within food and drinks industry, with knowledge of COSHH, FIFO, hygiene, and food safety practices desirable
• Experience within a GMP laboratory environment desirable.
• Must be flexible in accordance with Company requirements whilst exhibiting a ‘can do’ attitude.

• Basic salary of £19,305 with incremental increases based on progression and development
