Year 2 Teacher We are looking to recruit a Year 6 Teacher to start a Maternity cover from November until January 2023 . The candidate must have recent experience teaching in a Key Stage 1 class and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the curriculum. The role will be in a fantastic 2 form entry Primary school based in the St Helens area which is performing well above national average therefore they are looking for someone who sets high expectations and meets them. The school is easily accessible from all major motorways and has free parking on site.
Job Responsibilities: – Planning excellent and challenging lessons for the Spring and Summer term- Ensure the pupils are full prepared for the step up in to High School.- Attending parents evening and keeping accurate pupil records- Quickly becoming part of the school community Preferred Skills: – An in depth knowledge of the KS1 curriculum- A subject specialism in Maths and/or ICT would be desired but please do not be put off if you have not. This role is more suited to Teachers who have been through the Y2 SATS process or have a clear understanding of the year group.
