Our client in IN is looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with experience in keeping furnaces, machines, mechanical equipment, or structure of the plant in repair as well as active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidate will be able to:

· Inspect, operate or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

· Dismantle machines, equipment or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoist, cranes, hand tools or power tools.

· Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting motors, belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters or doing other preventive maintenance actions.

· Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs, as necessary.

· Repair machines, equipment or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoist, saws, drills, wrenches or equipment as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.

· Installing new equipment.

· Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems or plumbing.

responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)

1. Achievement of Michigan Plant maintenance goals.

· Responsible for helping Maintenance Manager with functioning of all plant equipment.

· Assist Maintenance Manager in effective “crisis management”, e.g., emergencies, accident investigation, equipment malfunctions.

· Assists in all projects relating to equipment selection, design and installation.

· Assists Maintenance Manager in development of improvements in equipment utilization, performance, and reliability.

1. Assists Maintenance Manage to Coordinate and expedite activities of maintenance.

1. Assist Maintenance Manages with overall maintenance requirements.

· Maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

· Assist Maintenance Manager in estimating costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures. Assists in ordering needed parts, supplies or equipment.

1. Maintenance responsibilities

· Carries out maintenance responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include inspection, upkeep, installation, diagnostics of equipment/machinery, repair of equipment/machinery, preventive and predictive maintenance.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 30lbs

• standing for 2 hours at one time

qualifications:

• Experience level: Experienced

• Minimum 3 years of experience

• Education: High School (required)

skills:

• Maintenance (2 years of experience is required)

• Manufacturing (2 years of experience is required)
