We have an exciting opportunity for an organised and self-motivated leader to effectively manage the Real Journeys overnight experience in Doubtful Sound.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Operations Coordinator to join the team and have an opportunity to add value to the operation and guest experience in Doubtful Sound. As Operations Coordinator – Overnight, you will be responsible for assisting the Experience Manager to deliver efficiencies, high productivity and quality management across all aspects of the overnight experience.

You’ll be managing one of our premium experiences ensuring our visitors receive the high standard of customer service we’re renowned for. Alongside this you’ll be providing leadership to two overnight teams, managing the scheduling and deployment of vessels and people to ensure the most cost- effective use of resources is achieved.

As part of this role you will:

• Monitor and adjust experience capacity to maximise visitor numbers
• Manage and coordinate all staff requirements, including training and development
• Ensure all vessels and equipment are presented to the highest standard
• Manage H&S requirements, ensuring the experience is safe for everyone

Skills & Experience

• You’ll have previous experience in an operations and people management role and proven success in leading a team
• It’s essential that you have your full NZ Driver’s Licence
• Experience in maritime operations or your QDC certificate would be beneficial
• Most importantly we’re looking for a proactive and positive leader who is willing to jump in and help our where needed
