The Role

This is a key role in the lower North Island region, supporting the Sales Manager and leading the Internal Sales Team that provides the first point of contact for key customers.  Through a focussed and strategic approach, you will maintain an extensive knowledge of current and future projects, ensuring tenders are successfully executed and projects are supplied on time and in budget.

A contracts manager in the construction industry manages contracts relating to building projects.

The key responsibilities include:
 

• Building & maintaining trusted relationships
• Ensuring sales opportunities are identified & acted upon
• Work with the Sales Manager & Account Managers to ensure a strategic approach to quoting that provides the best opportunity for a successful tender
• Working with customers & the sales team to plan & implement the product supply on projects
• Understanding of pricing model, billing procedures, P&L &cost-to-completion projections
• Motivating and leading team members

Your Strengths

We are looking for someone proactive, intuitive, with a fresh energy and enthusiasm who takes accountability for making things happen.  Ideally you will have had some exposure working in the infrastructure, construction or building industry in some capacity.  Clear communication skills and strong business acumen will help you add value to the role and team straight away.
