We’re in a phase of growth and currently have a need for an experienced Software Engineer to join our growing engineering practice. You will be working with a team of experienced Engineers, to develop innovative, robust and complex technical software, products and solutions.

As a valued member of reecetech, you strive to improve the software products and solutions our customers and staff love, powering the growth of the Reece Group.

As part of one of these multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will:

• Design, develop, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software to team programming standards
• Contribute to the broader software, product, and solution design, liaising with Tech Leads and Principal Engineers
• Conduct code reviews to ensure that software meets code quality standards and applications are robust, performant, and maintainable
• Ensure applications are robust, performant, and maintainable

• At least three years Python application development experience
• AWS Cloud experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation and other servicesAdditional experience working on iOS/Android highly desirable
• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design principles and practices
• Knowledge of design patterns and their use in Java/Kotlin development preferred
• Good understanding of software design principles and practices. Knowledge of Python, AWS design patterns and principles
• Experience in unit ,integration, system, acceptance and contract testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tooling
• An ethos of authenticity, empathy, integrity, excellence and humility
• Good listening and communication skills and able to receive and give constructive feedback
• Challenge established ways of doing business while influencing desired outcomes, prioritise competing business priorities, and meeting company vision and strategy
