The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling and/or
referring inquiry calls.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receive referral calls, obtain demographic information, and refer the call to the
appropriate source or schedule an assessment.
2. Process all requests for information and external referrals.
3. Completes pre-certifications as needed.
4. Assist in arranging for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin
the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks.
5. Determine what Consents and other documentation are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Education: Associates Degree preferred but not required.
Experience: One year of related experience preferred.
