About the role:

Due to the departure of a valued team member, we have the exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team based in Henderson, Auckland.

This is a busy and highly visible role that requires strong relationship development, management, and organisational skills. Working across New Zealand, you’ll be supporting our blue-chip clients by keeping on top of international and domestic trends and connecting them with the RD Group suite of services and products to help drive their revenue. We are searching for a highly motivated and well connected Business Development Manager who can hit the ground running and enjoys a challenge. This role is quite unique, with approximately 70% of the role being developing new business, with the remaining 30% involving account and project management. 

Should you be successful, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing strategic corporate partnerships to significantly increase sales.
• Building and maintaining relationships.
• Tracking, quantifying, qualifying and reporting on leads generation to closure.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Extensive experience in business development.
• Experience in negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.
• Knowledge and/or experience in the NZ interior design, architectural, fixtures or fit-out industries preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Ambitious and driven, with a tireless work ethic.
• Resilient and able to adapt quickly to change.
• Demonstrated initiative and problem solving to improve commercial outcomes.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
