The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is recruiting internally and externally to the position of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer.i This is a Non-Represented position.Position:iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer (DEI)Posting Period:i iiiiii December 6, 2021 through December 13, 2021Salary: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii $69,696.15 i $87,120.19 AnnumUnion Affiliation:iiiii This is a Non-Represented Position.Reports To:iiiiiiiiiiiiii Chief Legal CounselSummary of Position:i This position will focus on developing and overseeing the execution of specific strategies related to diversity, equity, and inclusion and cultural competency into the Authorities day-to-day operations, including training, and education for staff.i Essential Duties and Responsibilities:iCollaborate with Human Resources on RIPTAis DEI goals and objectives with a focus by which to meet these goals;Collaborate with HR to identify diversity gaps, including current or projected personnel needs; Collaborate with HR to further diversity recruitment policies consistent with current office policies, objectives and needs;Promote the advancement of processes and coaching initiatives aimed at building a more diverse and inclusive workforce;Monitor and oversee diversity hours tracking and recognitions;Oversee and manage staff diversity-related meetings, events and trainings.Consult, collaborate and create accountability with key internal stakeholders around developing and integrating diversity goals and strategies into all functional areas, key processes and practices across administrative departments and offices;Perform other related duties as assigned.The above duties and responsibilities are not intended to limit specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position, nor are they intended to limit in any way the right of supervisors to assign, direct, and control the work of employees under their supervision.Qualification Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.i The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in establishing initiatives and processes in outreach and sourcing strategies. Demonstrated ability to establish effective partnerships and to work collaboratively and effectively among departments and in the community. Demonstrated ability to develop and present diversity training programs office-wide, including managerial training to educate and engage leadership and help effectuate diversity change efforts. Education:Such as may have been gained through: Bacheloris Degree in business administration, or equivalent relevant work experience.Experience:Minimum 5 yearsi experience in outreach initiatives and / or diversity recruitment efforts, including attracting and maintaining a diverse workforce.Demonstrated project management ability, attention to detail, initiative and proactive approach to diversity programs;Ability to manage projects independently with minimal oversight and consistently be proactive in identifying and developing new initiatives and providing updates to the Chief Legal Counsel and executive staff;Ability to work well in a team environment with all levels of firm personnel and establish effective working relationship;Highly motivated, creative, flexible, result-oriented and the ability to prioritize appropriately;Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, maintain deadlines, and produce high-quality work;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;Strong computer skills and ability to master new systems quickly;Ability to represent the Authority in a
