Robert Half Hiring for Accounting Clerk at San Francisco, California Full Time

Description Are you seeking employment at a well-respected organization as an Accounting Clerk? Robert Half has an open position for an Accounting Clerk to support the daily operations of a department. The Accounting Clerk position will require matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity based in the San Francisco, California area.

Responsibilities

• Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

• Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

• Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt

• Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

• Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

• Post financial information to journals and ledgers Requirements – Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Command of numeric data entry

• Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

• 2+ years of relevant experience
