Hartford area law firm has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paralegal in its Commercial Real Estate department. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of real estate

experience including both commercial and residential transactions.

Requirements

• Coordinate due diligence municipal searches with title insurance companies for commercial and real estate transactions

• Work with title companies, order title searches and obtain title policies

• Review and summarize UCC, judgment, tax and other liens

• Prepare documents including conveyance, mortgage and HUD/GFE for residential closings

• Prepare closing statements for commercial purchases and sales

• Prepare closing checklists, coordinate the closing process and follow up on post-closing matters

• Review and revise commercial leases; prepare lease summaries

• Open, close, organize and maintain files

• Interact with clients and other external parties

• Provide administrative support to department attorneys
