Patient Account Representative
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Review daily encounters from clinical departments to identify submission errors which are returned for correction.
-
Communicate with the Billing Staff in the clinical departments any updates and error trends identified.

Process error corrections requests from both within the Medical Group and from the clinical departments.

Update information to process duplicate medical records and merge patient accounts.

Review and process clinic charges, to include billing insurance and appropriate clinic write offs.
-
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED and minimum of one year of patient billing experience required. Experience in ICD-10/CPT coding is required. Customer service-oriented individual is required.
