Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Kirkland, Washington. This role involves working within the industry, handling and organizing payroll-related data, adhering to local, state and federal laws, and improving payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Processing payroll information which includes but is not limited to employee’s compensation details, time worked, paid leave and holidays, garnishments, and other payroll information.
• Ensuring precise processing of payroll deductions for statutory taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
• Creating payroll journal entries for accounting upload.
• Issuing off-cycle checks for final termination pay and other off-cycle payments when required.
• Coordinating and reconciling HSA deposits with third-party vendors.
• Managing the payroll inbox and addressing any payroll inquiries.
• Producing various reports as needed.
• Updating payroll procedure documents regularly.
• Constantly assessing and enhancing payroll procedures for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Leading, supporting and assisting with special projects, optimization initiatives, and system implementations. Requirements • Proficient in the use of Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP – Financial Services
• Knowledgeable in 401k – RRSP Administration
• Familiarity with About Time software is required
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions effectively
• Prior experience in Auditing
• Capable of managing Benefit Functions
• Experience using UKG Pro is preferred
