Rochester Clinical Research Hiring for Clinical On Call after hours (Remote work) at Rochester, NY Full Time

Rochester Clinical Research is currently seeking an individual that is looking for an on call position. The candidate would need to be available Monday – Friday 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm and weekends. Responsibilities:

• Be familiar with the purpose, telephone source document, goals/timelines and scheduling for all applicable trials.
• Review volunteer’s current medications, and study status and compliance with the protocol per the source document.
• Conduct telephone calls per protocol as directed by SC/SF for protocol specified visits completing source
• Use clinical trial management system and study specific esourceReview and update volunteer information.
• Take a careful history, reviewing volunteer’s pertinent medical history. Review volunteer’s current medications to determine if any changes since last visit.

Schedule and reschedule appointments as directed

• Arrange for self swab and instruct subject re specimen pickup as appropriate
• Escalate clinical questions to MD, NP, or Lead Study Coordinator as needed
• Learn the medication categories that may be excluded in each protocol.
• Stay abreast of protocol amendments and how they affect phone calls and utilize the oncall guide sheet and help desk information as needed for each protocol where after hours calls may need to be completed.
• Work with SC to complete on call duties within scope of protocol
• Perform other specialized duties as assigned by their manager.

Work experience requirements:

Medical background or familiarity with medical terminology a plus

Excellent people skills including being comfortable speaking on the telephone. Proficient computer skills including the ability to learn clinical trial management software and eSource technology as well as ediary requirements

Able to multitask

Education Requirements:

Minimum High school diploma

Some College preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
