*Title: Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager – 5 West Job Type: Temporary, Benefited Company: Roswell Park Cancer Institute Department: Nursing – 5 West Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Administers, directs and coordinates patient care in his/her assigned area (s) by managing personnel, material and fiscal resources in conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Manager, during his/her assigned work hours; interacts with other department and organization staff to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the mission of this organization. Qualifications:* Required Education and Experience License and Certification Requirements 1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and 2. Certification or eligibility for certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Education and Experience 1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting including one year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or 2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting including one year experience in an oncolody support setting and one year of nursing supervisory/lead experience; or 3. Associate’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting including one year experience in an oncology support setting and one year of nursing supervisory lead experience. NOTES: 1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the appropriate certification within eighteen (18) months of their appointment to this title. 2. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing within eighteen (18) months of their appointment to this title. 3. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title. 4. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have at least 2 years of prior experience working with Oncology patients.
