Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Looking for Administrative Assistant at Barrie, ON Full Time

Job Description:
The Occupational Health & Wellness (OHW) team is responsible to ensure a comprehensive, sustainable health and wellness program for all employees, physicians, volunteers, students and service providers (workers) at RVH. With our team of experts, the OHW department follows a collaborative continuous quality improvement model to develop, educate, implement and provide compliance support with Occupational Health and Wellness standards and legislation. As the Administrative Assistant, you will offer administrative support to all members of the OHW team and the Workplace Safety team. In addition to performing traditional Administrative Assistant duties such as word processing, filing, copying, the Administrative Assistant functions as a primary communications link between the health centre, the public and department staff.

As a qualified candidate you will have, at minimum, the following job requirements:

Completion of a two year college program with a focus in Secretarial or Administrative Assistant work

Ontario Secondary School graduation diploma with commercial options or equivalent secretarial skills

Progressive experience in administrative roles

Computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint required)

Experience supported a Manager or Director

Demonstrated technical skills – computer software and audio-visual equipment.
