You’ll combine hands-on design work with team leadership, collaborating across functions to deliver exceptional results.

About The Role

As Design Director, you’ll lead the Design Chapter, driving RUSH’s design strategy while guiding your team to deliver high-quality, human-centered solutions. You’ll work closely with clients, help recruit top talent, and champion design across the company. This is a leadership role where your expertise will make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Chief Delivery Officer to shape and execute the design strategy, aligning with RUSH’s goals.
• Lead and contribute to design efforts, ensuring deliverables meet client needs and company objectives.
• Mentor and coach design leads and team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
• Build trusted relationships with senior clients, advocating for RUSH’s design capabilities.
• Work with our People & Culture team to help attract top design talent that aligns with RUSH’s values and goals.
• Drive improvements in design processes and tools, integrating the latest tech like AI.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to seamlessly integrate design into product development.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• 5-8 years of design experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing hands-on UI/UX and product design work.
• Experience mentoring design teams and promoting a culture of growth.
• Expertise in design tools like Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to lead design projects and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior clients and advocate for design.
