Job Summary:

The Food Services Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing cookware, eating utensils, and related kitchen items.

Employment Type: Casual (1 Position)

Reports To: Residence Care Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Washes, scrubs, rinses, sanitizes, and dries pots, pans, and related kitchen items
• Cleans floors, walls, and ceilings in kitchen and eating areas
• Performs deep-cleaning of ovens and kitchen appliances
• Ensures cleanliness of the kitchen and eating areas
• Other related duties as required by the Residence Care Manager

Education, Training and Experience:

• Minimum completion of Grade 10
• Minimum of 1 year recent related experience
• Experience with a multicultural clientele

Job Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate equipment related to cleaning the kitchen
• Ability to carry out the duties of working in a kitchen setting
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Ability to communicate in Chinese (any dialects) is considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills

Additional Information:

• Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) Required
• Able to work weekdays or weekends as required
