Salad and Go is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain who has a passion for high quality, delicious food and being of service to others. In this position, the ideal candidate will lead the efforts for building a best-in-class supply base that is aligned with our mission and includes the building of long term mutually beneficial supplier partnerships.

Core job duties and responsibilities:

• Lead efforts to secure the highest quality ingredients while assuring supply, quality and food safety

• Analyze and understand market conditions and develop strategic sourcing initiatives that mitigate risk and decrease volatility, including tactics to mitigate commodity and inflationary pressures

• Optimize supplier partnerships to support and leverage growth, optimizing SKUs, pack size, freight and order / delivery frequency

• Formalize methodology for commodity-based contracts to ensure achievement of plan and risk mitigation, including the building of an RFI / RFP process in support of supplier agreements

• Build Supplier Compliance and Contingency planning programs to assure uninterrupted supply that is prepared to scale and grow

• Collaborate with Culinary and Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) teams to build and promote a robust sensory evaluation program to ensure consistency and quality amongst suppliers

• Partner with the demand planning and financial planning and analysis teams to maintain usage and forecasting information

• Accountable for cost savings initiatives and cost of goods targets

• Direct 3PL and outsourced supply activities, ensuring costs are aligned and food and goods are efficiently moving through our supply chain

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Store Operations and FSQA to ensure we have the right food and materials in the right place to serve our guests

Requirements

• 10+ years in a senior leadership position, leading strategic sourcing activities

• 7+ years in food sourcing with QSR and/or food manufacturing experience

• Organized, solutions oriented, results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize to meet objectives

• Strong verbal and written communication that builds solid, professional internal and external relationships

• Ability to build, develop and lead a best-in-class Sourcing team

• Influential, strategic thinker who is highly collaborative and naturally curious

Must be willing to travel approximately 30% of the time to visit supplier partners.
