To support this vision, we are seeking a Business Operations & Programs Manager to join our Solutions Business Operations (SBO) Office. In this role, you will influence and support the organizational strategy and execution of programs aimed at optimizing our Solutions organization. Our Business Operations Managers drive workforce unity and operational excellence by defining, measuring, and improving processes and performance.
The role requires exceptional organizers, who know how to lead with respect-based influence, and who bring a mix of experience, domain understanding, and judgment. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction and partnership with various leaders within the Solutions teams, the Sales teams, and their extended team of Business Partners. Our Business Operations Managers work closely with executives and key company stakeholders to drive critical programs and activities across the company to realize benefits quicker and at higher value while creating scale and bridging organizational silos.
Primary Responsibilities:
Partner with senior leaders, providing thought leadership and strategic insights to execute on critical business operational needs and to define projects and programs aimed at supporting the organizational strategy
Help drive and cascade the organization’s V2MOM (Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles, Measures) process and align the organization behind the leadership’s vision and priorities
Oversee prioritized strategic programs from conception to execution. Strategic programs consist of (but are not limited to): cross-functional operational improvements, go-to-market strategies, implementation and roll-out of enhanced sales strategies, and team culture/diversity best practices.
Scope of strategic program management includes: collaboratively defining success measures, key performance indicators, and reporting frameworks for strategic planning and business reporting; working with stakeholders to provide actionable program visibility to senior leaders; and conducting regular project reviews with leaders, providing status updates and risk mitigation strategies.
Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with project stakeholders and Solutions Business Partners such as Enablement, Recruiting, Sales Strategy, Employee Success, Finance, and Q Branch to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of our Solutions Orgs.
Partner closely with the AMER Solutions Center of Excellence, Business Technology, and other teams to jointly ensure successful operational execution across supporting functions and our Solutions Orgs.
Serve as change agent by leveraging your knowledge of Sales best practices and stimulating, communicating, and institutionalizing business process improvements.
Support organization-wide communications and events (e.g. Dreamforce, SKO (Sales Kick Off), Leadership Offsites).

Be a bridge and connector between our Solutions Orgs, broader organizations, and shared service teams.
Understand complex concepts, resolve problems, and present appropriate business solutions and recommendations; make reasoned, independent decisions objectively. You are analytical and truth seeking.
Build trust across the Solutions team and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships. You are not afraid to be direct, but you strive to act with empathy and integrity.
Identify opportunities for ad-hoc data and business analysis to get to root causes of problems and analyze potential solutions.
Communicate complex information and ideas effectively and confidently to all levels (i.e. verbal, presentation, storytelling)
Orchestrate the efforts of cross-functional teams to execute on programs, projects, awareness campaigns and events to ensure all stakeholder alignment.
Understand the role of the Solutions Organizations within larger AMER Sales Organization and the expanded Salesforce ecosystem.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Outstanding leadership, prioritization, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills (verbal/presentation/written) required.
Solutions Engineering, Direct Sales, Project Management, Chief of Staff, or consulting experience in the high-tech industry strongly desired. This is not an IT role.
Understanding of Salesforce’s business model and the role of the Solutions organization within the larger Salesforce ecosystem is a plus.
Experience inspiring change and working on sophisticated cross-functional projects end-to-end and/or in highly matrixed organizations required.
Experience with annual business planning processes, and/or metrics and measurement desired.
Data analytics and reporting experience is a major plus. (Org62, Tableau, or similar)
Advanced knowledge of common PM tools (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Quip, Slack) required.
Bachelor’s Degree (desired). Project Management certifications are a plus.
