Position Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Analyst. This position reports on-site at the Lake Charles Complex and reports to the Logistics Manager.

Purpose of Job

Coordinate shipments into and out of the plant

Key Accountabilities

• Monitor daily the location of cars, take necessary action to keep cars moving per plan
• Responds to incoming customer inquiries on products; assists the units and Customer Service Representatives with general information (shipping information, order status, shipment location)
• Work to maintain an adequate truck carrier base to support the business
• Supports month-end/year-end closing process
• Prepare documents required for shipment of product. Reviews invoices for accuracy
• Work in compliance with the Quality Management System requirements
• Utilizes proactive and/or reactive approach to prevent, correct and inform Customer Service Representatives on events that could result in non-conformances
• Maintain ongoing relationships with all customers, unit staff and Customer Service Representatives
• Assist accounting department in daily balancing and monthly/yearly closings
• Prepare documentation for OTMA submittals
• May work alternate shift schedules

Formal Education

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or business management with 3-5 years of relevant work experience; or High School Diploma or GED with at least 7 years if relevant work experience

Working Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 7 years’ experience with a High School diploma or GED.

Required Personal and Professional Skills

• Good understanding of SAP SD module
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of logistics
• Strong ability to interact with customers and promote good customer relations
• Good software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, individual contributor, results oriented
