Based in Macquarie Park, we have an exciting opportunity for a Software Test Engineer to join our SCADA Operational Support team and perform pre-release software testing for Geo SCADA. This role is a unique blend of testing and customer facing technical support. You will be required to perform pre-release software testing for Geo SCADA with hardware like Trio Radio and SCADA Packs. You will also interface with customers to answer their queries and help with complex technical issues.
Our customer base is varied with a large number of national infrastructure utilities customers within Water and Gas Distribution. You will ensure continued smooth operations for our customers, troubleshoot and diagnose faults in a wide range of areas including ClearSCADA / Geo SCADA software. As a Software Tester Engineer, you will be passionate about customer’s success, be a dedicated problem solver, bubbling with enthusiasm and technical experience working with Geo SCADA or other SCADA platforms!
Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Detailed issue analysis, fault-finding and diagnostics
- Testing of software and deployment of routine updates
- Configuration of RTU/Outstations
- Owning, investigating, and resolving complex software issues

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or computer science complemented by experience in; PLC / RTU programming or industrial automation / control systems integration
- Skilled in Geo SCADA and/or alternative industrial HMI / SCADA software
- Your experience with factory operations and/or systems integration
- You appreciate the need for a flexible approach to a work schedule including a willingness to work some evenings and public holidays as part of a support roster
