School of Science and Technology Hiring for Student Attendance & Enrollment Specialist at Houston, TX Full Time

JOB ROLES:

Assist and coordinate a variety of attendance and enrollment functions related to student attendance, and enrollment programs in accordance with SST policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’ degree required.
• Minimum two years of related work experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support in student enrollment, registration, documentation, and school lottery process.
• Assist and train users in the use of attendance software and related computer systems; assist in coordinating and arranging for attendance accounting and related computer system training; provide training and support to staff.
• Respond to questions regarding student enrollment and attendance; research and explain Texas Education Code laws and regulations relating to student attendance.
• Provide professional development and training to campus attendance clerks and registrars
• Distribute, collect, review, process and assure accuracy and completeness of various attendance and enrollment forms, records, and documents; review forms and information for accuracy and completeness; make corrections or request additional information as needed.
• Work collaboratively with schools to resolve data discrepancies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
• Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
• Position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
• Moderate travel is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 – $80,637.00 per year
