Job Description
The Supply Chain Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and support for Transformation projects and supporting our Equipment business. This role will collaborate with global sites to analyze and develop cost models in support of transformational projects and strategic growth opportunities, supporting the company’s growth strategy. The candidate will collaborate with cross-function groups throughout the organization and will serve as a financial business partner to Operations on transformation projects. This is a fast-paced role interacting directly with Plant Operations leadership, Supply Chain Finance leadership, and Sales/Marketing.
Main Responsabilities
- Create and analyze the operational impact of strategic initiatives under consideration.
- Assist in documenting and validating cost assumptions on transformational projects.
- Assist in the development of models to analyze the cost impact of alternative options.
- Research and identify areas of opportunity to improve costs and eliminate waste.
- Monitor progress on projects, updating cost assumptions as needed.
- Evaluation of overall project performance versus model assumptions.
- Provide accurate and timely analysis and interpretation to ensure accurate and actionable business decisions.
- Assist and coordinate finance activities as needed for the financial close process.
- Provide support in the preparation of monthly financial results delivered to supply chain management and commercial finance, following the standard templates and guidelines.
- Provide commitment to ensure a proper control environment and compliance with US GAAP regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Assist with capital projects and post-audit implementations on transformation projects.
- Provide support to identify areas needing corrective action, tracking of committed cost savings, supporting corporate and regional projects as needed.
- Analyze, understand, and explain the reasons for movement in manufacturing costs including month and year to date comparisons to budget and prior year.
- Other analysis as needed for product lines or requested by NAM Supply Chain Finance.
- Responsibilities are not limited to the above requirements.
- Limited travel may be required
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2 years of relevant finance experience with a background in manufacturing, strongly preferred.
- Must have ERP, preferably SAP experience.
Technical Skills
- Experience with SAP, BIA systems are a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Accounting background required
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
- Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
- Proficient/Fluent English (Not negotiable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation.
- Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and summarize large sets of data, and determine if the data accurately represents the business.
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
- Experience with high-volume operations.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional/global teams
