8.30 – 4pm / Monday – Friday (term time only)

full or part time

£74.55 per day

We are on the look out for passionate, talented SEN specialist teaching assistants to work within a large York Primary School client on a flexible supply basis.

The Role:
As an SEN teaching assistant, the role can vary from school to school and can include the following duties;

Academic support

Behaviour mentor

Assistance with communication

Run or assist with Nuture groups

Personal care and toilet training

Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups

Nurturing children’s physical, social and emotional welfare

Keep records and attend review meetings

Requirements

As an SEN teaching assistant you will work with children with a range of SEN such as Autism, ADHD, SLCN, and PD, so experience in one or more of there areas, or moving and handling training would be desirable.

To be a successfull in this role you will:

• Have a minimum of 1 years experience working within a school or care setting
• Be able to promote a safe and positive learning environment
• Mentor and engage with the pupils, successfully delivering specifically designed educational packages
