• Monitoring staff and contractor/vendor traffic Must greet everyone in a friendly and professional manner

• Ensuring sign-in and sign-out procedures are complied with appropriately.

• Answers and screens incoming calls and directs to the appropriate staff and/or area

Security Officer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining all required security documentation, which will be provided at the beginning of the period of performance by the Job Corps CCC, and may include:

• Access and Exit Logs

• Incident Report Logs

• Inspection and Damage Reports for both vehicles and property Intervene with non-lethal, passive means in the event of an incident.

• Provide active shooter and other types of training applicable to security related practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: Any guard provided must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a security officer or two (2) years’ experience in a branch of law enforcement or other type of protective service. The guards must be trained for and capable of handling any and all incidents in a legal and professional manner.

• Must be in complete uniform and well-groomed at all times.

• Abide by all ordinances and regulations pertaining to the Job Corps CCC’s operation and secure all required licenses and permits;

• Being on time and reliable.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).

• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test and may be required to pass a Driver’s Record check.

• Be professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
